They wrap cables directly around trees for people to hang on to so they can hike up and down steep trails, causing the cables to wear into the trees, cutting through the bark and killing them.

The worst stop in our 3 week tour of beautiful Atlantic Canada earlier this fall.

Unbelievably breath taking the beauty of this coastline.

Amazing park. One if not the best in New Brunswick.. Tones of hiking and walking trails of every level. Something for everyone.. And the little town of Alma is nestled in the edge of the park.

The staff could care less about your experience within the park. You know it's not a good sign when the first thing upon arrival they tell you is they will lock the gates at one minute past 5 so you need to leave before then (they don't btw).

They charge way to much for really nothing that wasn't there before when it was free. If they dropped the price they would have way more visitors.

The "view points" offer little to no view. Hiking paths are poorly maintained and not well marked.

How can you beat this? You get wonderful views on a nice scenic drive along the coast. There are waterfalls, walkways and rope ladders, and even a suspension bridge. My one-year-old loved the experience. The staff was very friendly. The only downside, which cannot be controlled, is if there is fog. The fog can be REAL thick and obstruct a lot of the views. It's worth taking the chance.

I'm by no means an environmentalist, but it's disheartening to see a park, that's suppose to preserve nature for people's enjoyment, to harm it.
